Because tiktok based their algorithm on the content vs. prioritizing followers like youtube does. Every video is more or less kind of like starting from ground zero vs. having lots of gains as your audience grows
really interesting observations. I find it extemely hard to get people on both Twitter and LinkedIn to subscribe to my substack. And my LinkedIn Newsletter has more than 5000 subscribers, but they also don't find the idea of subscribing to my substack newsletter appealing...
Might be a platform fit thing. Though I think LinkedIn newsletters notoriously convert poorly. I am not sure how many people actually read them let alone click through to another site
